Catch IT Data Tracking Information:
Catch IT is the compass that illuminates our strengths and pinpoints the areas where support is crucial to boost our catch rate. It’s about bolstering landowners with effective trapping methods while sparking the enthusiasm of others to jump into action.
As of November 2023, we’ve recorded a total of 10,842 catches since 2020, comprising 6,480 rats, 150 mustelids, and 6 feral cats. Other catches include hedgehogs, mice, and possums.
Our data map indicates a slowdown in our response over the last 12 months compared to the two preceding years. In 2021, we logged 3,002 catches; in 2022, it was 3,345 catches, but in the past year, we recorded 2,266 catches. While Catch IT can’t pinpoint the exact cause, adverse weather has played a role.
It’s important to note that the data might not paint the complete picture. Some lines haven’t recorded catches, and there are infrequent checks on certain lines.
